PR>Marketing

I hate how people undermine the importance of PR and place it in the same box as Marketing. PR, as I know it, is the backbone of any Marketing strategy. Simply because we PR people do the dirty work of the Marketing kids, and if any other branch of the organization fucks up, we pick up the pieces. I’m sick and tired of people putting PR and Marketing under the same umbrella because you need different talents to do either one and those talents don’t necessarily overlap each other.

I’m on a rampage against idiots who can’t tell the difference because I can’t get any research that I need for the strategic plan and I’m about to bash the poor MBP in front of me! ARGHHHHHH
